If you do not have experience working in a manufacturing environment (not warehouse) then we may not contact you. You will be communicating with international (some Chinese vendors) and handling a volume of 100 million in shipments with one of the biggest vendors being Home Depot for direct shipping to factories. Our group is relatively quiet yet easy going and hardworking. The person leaving this position has been with us for four years & now ready for a different role after receiving their MBA. You must be able to work independently and be very detail oriented.
The most suitable candidate must have the following minimum qualifications to be considered for the position of Import Coordinator:
Job Responsibilities:
- Review invoices and packing slips received from international vendors for accuracy.
- Correspond with international vendors regarding invoices, packing slips, and shipments.
- Using vendor invoices, key all import shipments into the shipment tracking system in the AS400.
- Create and distribute Vendor Funds Requests for all import vendor invoices.
- Open all new import files.
- Maintain extensive filing system for import files.
- Assist in keying purchase orders into the AS400.
- Maintain adequate level of office supplies for the import department.
- Perform other administrative duties as required.
Requirements:
- MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)
- Knowledge of AS400 a plus.
- Previous Import experience in a high volume manufacturing environment.
- General administrative /or customer service background, most appropriate.
- Must have strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task extremely well.
